In the Footsteps of the Perls Family
A Gestalt-oriented Day Workshop in Berlin

This one-day workshop invites you to discover Berlin through a Gestalt lens — tracing the footsteps of Laura Perls and Fritz Perls and their deep connection to the city.
We begin with a theoretical introduction that highlights the Berlin roots of Gestalt therapy and the coming together of different influences: the European backgrounds of Laura and Fritz Perls and the American contributions of Paul Goodman. Together, their perspectives shaped the emergence of Gestalt therapy as we know it today.
In the second part of the day, we step outside and into the city: a guided walk through Berlin that brings biography, history, and place into dialogue. Visiting selected locations connected to the Perls family, we will explore how personal stories, cultural context, and historical realities intertwine.

This workshop is designed for an international community — for those visiting Berlin who wish to discover the city from a unique, experiential perspective, as well as for those already living here who are curious to encounter familiar places in a new way.
